4 months agoThe Bright Futures Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program for Florida high school graduates. There are different award levels with specific eligibility requirements based on the student's GPA, standardized test scores, service hours, and other factors. For ACT scores, the requirements are as follows:
1. For the Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) Award: You'll need a minimum composite ACT score of 29. In addition to the test score requirement, you must also have a minimum weighted 3.5 GPA and complete at least 100 community service hours.
2. For the Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) Award: You'll need a minimum composite ACT score of 25. Along with the test score, you should have a minimum weighted 3.0 GPA and complete at least 75 community service hours.
Keep in mind that meeting these minimum requirements doesn't guarantee the scholarship, but it does make you eligible for consideration. It's always a good idea to aim for a higher score than the minimum requirement if possible, to increase your chances of receiving the scholarship.
