We have been working diligently to pressure the employer to stop stalling at the bargaining table and to address issues affecting our members in the workplace. We are hosting a zoom town hall to discuss these issues and any other issues our members would like to discuss. Save the date and consider sharing this information with your colleagues! We look forward to hearing from you.

REGINA: In light of ongoing functionality and payroll issues, CUPE 5430 is demanding a plan to fix the failing AIMS payroll system and ensure health care workers are being properly compensated, as many are missing hundreds of dollars on their paycheques.
The Administrative Information Management System (AIMS) was designed to manage payroll, scheduling, human resources, and finances for the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The project implementation has been riddled with issues for years:
REGINA: Today, CUPE 5430 is proud to announce the launch of a new campaign calling for the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority to end their stalling tactics at the bargaining table.
“Our members work tirelessly to ensure that hospital patients, long-term care residents, and home care clients receive the highest quality care,” said Bashir Jalloh, president of CUPE 5430. “As a union we are deeply concerned about the government’s plan to erode our workplace protections, standardize contracts with the worst terms, and make it easier to contract out and privatize health care. These proposed changes threaten to weaken our health care system and make it harder to retain the skilled workers who provide the care that Saskatchewan families rely on.”

The LPN Committee would like to hear from you. We would like to help with any concerns and answer questions you may have.
~ Please Plan to Attend ~
Dear valued member:
Your bargaining committee met with SAHO on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. While we continue to focus on moving things forward, we remain in non-monetary discussions at the bargaining table. SAHO continues to push proposals that will worsen your working conditions and up to this point has not accepted any of our provisions that would improve your working conditions.
We have been prepared for each round of bargaining with concrete proposals and counter-proposals ready. This is in sharp contrast to SAHO, who continues to stall and uses our limited bargaining time to prepare. This lack of preparation has slowed bargaining progress and has resulted in us being unable to discuss wages, premiums, or benefits – which are the top issues facing our members. We will continue to pressure SAHO and the government to reach agreement on important articles and to speed up this bargaining process.
Dear valued member,
I’m reaching out to update you on a recent meeting with the Minister of Health. Last month, your Vice President Linda Renkas and I had to opportunity to meet with the Minister of Health to share concerns about working conditions, the lack of a retention plan for our existing health workers as well as the need for a fair deal at the bargaining table.
While the Minister appeared to express concern about these issue at the time, we have learned that he has since been responding to correspondence from our members who wrote him to highlight their cost-of-living concerns with a self-congratulatory letter than minimizes their concerns and suggests their government has done enough to help our members go by.
Dear valued member:
Your bargaining committee met with the employer on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
We continue to focus on moving things forward while addressing key concerns, but the employer continues to focus on proposals that are not top priority for our members. As a result of this, we have been unable to discuss wages, premiums, or benefits – which are the top issues facing our members.
